A grand and spirited Independence Day celebration was held at Sacred Heart Convent School, Sri Ganganagar, where the school community gathered to honour the nation’s journey to freedom. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Major Mohd Iliyas Kathat, 4th Bihar Regiment, Company Commander, Sgnr as the Chief Guest and Dr. Ashok Arora, Senior Psychiatrist, Govt. Hospital, Sgnr as the Guest of Honour. The distinguished guests were welcomed to the main pavilion by the vibrant school band, setting the tone for a day filled with pride and patriotism.
Thereafter, the Flag Hoisting Ceremony was conducted with great reverence, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and unity. The highlight of the event was the school parade, where students from the four houses—Blue, Green, Red, and Yellow—marched with impeccable precision and discipline.
The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour alongside Rev. Fr. Manager, Rev. Fr. Jobin CST, and Rev. Sr. Principals received the salute from each house. The dignified march past was a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of the students.
Rev. Fr. Manager extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to the honoured guests, acknowledging their contributions to the nation and society. Also, he expressed the school’s gratitude for their esteemed presence.

Jiya of Class 10 delivered a heartfelt speech that evoked a profound sense of patriotic spirit and left an enduring echo of national pride in the hearts of all who listened.

It is a matter of pride that a group of over 150 students from our school participated in the grand Independence Day celebration at Maharaja Ganga Singh Stadium. Their spirited and purely patriotic dance, filled with diverse moves and styles, left the entire audience in awe, rendering them speechless.
The celebration concluded on a high note with the resonant voices of the school anthem, bringing the program to a close and leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride and commitment to the nation.
